In this part of our photographic tour of Blundell Park we look at the John Smiths stand, as it is now known. The Smiths Stand for many years was known as the Family Findus stand, after part of the cost of building the stand was financed by the frozen food company.
The Smiths Stand, which comprises two tiers, dominates the skyline at Blundell Park as it is so much taller than the other three sides of the ground, and also much more modern. It replaces the old Barratt stand, which stood in its place for 80 years.
