More Injuries

Grimsby's injury problems look set to continue into the New Year with the latest news that Wayne Burnett, Knut Anders Fostervold and Zhang Enhua are all doubtful for Saturday's clash with Portsmouth at Blundell Park.

All three suffered injuries during the 1-1 draw against Stockport, with each of the trio being rated at no better than 50/50 for this weekend. Burnett, scorer of the Mariners equaliser against the Hatters, is struggling with a sore foot, whilst Fostervold took a knock to the ribs and Enhua is complaining of a sore calf. This could mean a return to the starting line-up for Steve Livingstone and Richard Smith, whilst it would also seem likely that Grimsby manager Lennie Lawrence would be forced to persevere with Tony Gallimore at left-back.
