Chima Okorie1993/946 (1)0 goals

Chima Okorie Our friend Chima was a talent never fully used or seen at Town and in typical Grimsby Town fashion got injured and left. Okorie never actually started a game in the 93/94 season, but made quite a few appearances from the bench, scoring a goal away at Tranmere in the Coca-Cola Cup.

Alan Buckley seemed strangely reluctant to try Chima from the start (probably because he was tall, which you may have gathered, Buckley does not like), and he broke his leg just a few weeks after he scored his first Town goal.

Okorie then went on to play for Torquay and is currently coaching young children in Africa to play football. You can read Dan Humphrey's interview with Chima here.

Next Player: Paul Crichton
