Mendonca Moving North!

CLIVE Mendonca is looking for a job after turning down an offer to join the coaching staff at Charlton Athletic because he wants to return to the North of England somewhere.

Injury forced him to retire and he is now looking to stay in the game in a non-playing role. Many Grimsby fans would love to see him return to Blundell Park but with the current financial situation it would seem highly unlikely that a job could be found for him, even if Paul Groves wanted him.

Menno Willems is also in the news saying he is returning to Holland to play there if he can get a job. He is hoping to rejoin Vitesse Arnhem.

"I loved it in England but I like to play football and sometimes you don't get the chance to do that because the game is so fast. Playing soccer in Holland will give me the time to show off my skills, which sometimes I wasn't able to do at Grimsby.

"I am hoping to sort a new club out shortly and I haven't ruled out anything right now, but, I want to play back home that's for sure."
