Ipswich Game Postponed

IT has just been announced that The Mariners' game versus Ipswich Town on Sept 9th has been postponed due to Ipswich having three players called up to play for their prospective countries
The postponement is a good thing because that Saturday Grimsby Town would have been missing Danny Coyne and Darren Barnard, who both have been called up to the Wales squad to play in Finland. With Steve Croudson unavailable until late October, Town would have had to play rookie 'keeper Bradley Hughes.
Wales have another European Championship qualifier coming up against Italy on October 16th at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, and if both Barnard and Coyne get another call up for their national squad Grimsby this time will not be in the same position as that game is mid-week.
