Town Sign Reserve Trio

TOWN have added three reserve team players to their books after offering the trio one year deals. The three are part of the four players the club have appealed to fans and local businesses to sponsor for a year, with £15,000 out of a target of £20,000 having been raised so far.

Defender Greg Young and midfielders Graham Hockless and Stephen Downes have signed one year contracts with the club, while the fourth Kirk Wheeler is expected to put pen to paper on a new deal next week. All four players have been training at Blundell Park for the last two months without being paid in the hope that new contracts would materialise.

Squad numbers for the four, who will go initially into Paul Wilkinson's reserve squad, are:

24 Hockless
25 Young
26 Downes
27 Wheeler *subject to signing

The club's FYC appeal to local business and fans across the world has so far raised over £15,000 of the £20,000 target and the Fishy's readers can help by purchasing tickets in our raffle in aid of the FYC cause.

Thanks to all the Fishy's readers who have made contributions so far via our raffle!
