Asda Bows Out!

THE chaos at the English Football Association at the time chief executive Adam Crozier resigned is believed to have stopped a deal between the FA and a major potential sponsor.
According to the Daily Mail newspaper, representatives from supermarket chain Asda had been holding talks at the FA on the day Crozier quit. Crozier's decision to resign left Asda feeling unsure about the deal, which would have seen them become one of the FA's big money sponsors.
The intervention of Pepsi as a possible sponsor of the FA rules out Asda from continuing their interest and some reports suggest that they may turn to the Football League where cash strapped clubs would welcome additional big money sponsors.
