The Jarvis Sponsorship Cash Paid Up Front!

GRIMSBY Town have received a three-year advance payment from their new sponsorship deal with Jarvis - but they did not attend yesterday's Blundell Park press conference because they got stuck in traffic on the trip from York!

With the Mariners facing a £1-million loss after being relegated the Grimsby Telegraph reports that chairman Peter Furneaux was upbeat about the deal and welcomed the summer bonus, which runs close to £500,000.

Peter Furneaux said: "After a long and difficult season, this announcement gives the club a huge boost."

"We have never got money to spend. But we will be strengthening the squad and we will back the manager in positive ways to allow him to compete in the league we're in next season."

The new Jarvis sponsored shirt has arrived and is on sale online now and you will be able to buy them at the Blundell Park Club Shop from Saturday.

The home shirt (Pictured) will be given its first outing in Sunday's home TV game against Brighton, with Town fans being able to bid for Paul Groves' match shirt on the Official Auction site soon after.

New away colours were also unveiled with a grey strip. They will be available soon.
