Coldicott Signs Up!

TOWN midfielder Stacy Coldicott today put pen to paper on a new contract that will keep him at Blundell Park for another two years. Although yet to fully recover from last season's broken leg, he should be fit for the start of the new campaign.

The former Baggie told Mariners Net: "I'm pleased to get the situation sorted and I'm now looking forward to the start of the new season. Although I'm only in light training at the moment the leg feels fine and I should be ready for the first game of the season".

The 29-year-old is not set for Town's pre-season tour of Ibiza later this month. "I don't think I will be going on the pre-season because am not yet ready to play, but I will stay behind and work hard on getting fit," said Coldicott.

Town's squad for next season is now rapidly beginning to take shape following the departure of Danny Coyne today, plus the acquisition of Coldicott and Preston's Iain Anderson. Now top earner Danny Coyne has been removed from the pay roll, further faces could be following through the Blundell Park door shortly.
