Trialist Torment!

By: Tony Hamilton
Date: 04/08/2003

TRIALISTS Kevin George, Jason Crowe, Lauren Ten Heuvel and Mike Edwards are waiting to see if any or all of them have earned permanent deal with Grimsby Town. The club have revealed that resources are available to offer the players permanent deals - if Paul Groves decides to keep any of them.

"Paul is not under pressure to sign any of them, that decision is up to him," said Grimsby Chief executive Ian Fleming. "However the resources are available for him"

Grimsby Town assistant manager Graham Rodger refused to comment on whether any of the trialists had been offered a contract yet only saying on the matter that all four of them were still with the Mariners on Monday
