October Player of the Month

IT'S that time of the month where you the Fishy readers pick October’s Player of the Month. Since we started this section for the Fishy we have had plenty of votes depending on how Grimsby Town have done. Here are six nominations for the October Player of the Month.

John McDermott
	Macca is entering legend status for the amount of time he’s been pulling on a black and white shirt and served the club. Could have moved to other clubs but down his roots here and decided to stay.	John McDermott Profile
Stuart Campbell
	Stuart is at ease playing either in the centre or wide in midfield and always puts in 100% for the team, rarely missing a game. He is a former U-21 international and has also been in the Scotland B side.	Stuart Campbell Profile
Mike Edwards
	Played over 250 games at Hull City but when Peter Taylor took over his face didn't fit, so he decided to sign for Grimsby Town in the summer. If he carries on his present form will be we worth a new contract when his present one expires.	Mike Edwards Profile
Darren Barnard
	Darren is building up caps for Wales while on the books at Grimsby Town, having to fit in both international and club careers. He is on his way to Russia while we read this and good luck to him and his Wales teammates.	Darren Barnard Profile
Iffy Onuora
	Coming back from a career-threatening injury after snapping his Achilles tendon in the middle of the previous season. After having been released by the Blades he signed for the Town until the end of the season.	Iffy Onuora Profile
Michael Boulding
	Has carried on his scoring spell throughout the up and down results Grimsby Town have had. I just wonder if any higher placed league teams will gamble if Michael decides to try his football elsewhere.	Michael Boulding Profile
