Xmas Cheer For GTFC Fans!

By: Tony Hamilton
Date: 02/12/2003

GRIMSBY Town have come up with a cut-price deal that covers the home games during the Christmas period. They hope to attract new supporters with this deal that will push Town into the top half of Division Two.

The Mariners are offering the four games over the Xmas period for the combined price of £40 for adults or £10 per game. Senior citizens will pay £30 for the four games with children paying £20 for these games.

The home games that are covered in this package are Wrexham(Dec 20), Oldham(Dec 26), Plymouth(Jan 10) and Luton (Jan 24). Fans will have to buy a book of four vouchers and then exchange each of these vouchers for the appropriate match day ticket.

The biggest saving will come in the Upper Smiths where there would be a £7 discount per game and in the Pontoon this would be £4 per game. Chairman Peter Furneaux said about this scheme "We realise this time can be a difficult one for supporters. But we want to try and get people back into the ground and help push the team up the division. This book of vouchers could be a nice Christmas present for any Town supporter"

Grimsby Town have also put half price season tickets on sale and these will start with the Oldham game.
