Fettis To Sign Today?

By: Bill Osborne
Date: 10/03/2004

HULL City keeper Alan Fettis was expected to join Grimsby Town today on a loan deal for the rest of the season with Pettinger out injured.

Fettis had previously had been linked with a move to third division club Doncaster Rovers after returning from a two-month loan spell with Sheffield United.

However, Nicky Law moved in with a bid and it is believed a deal has been agreed.

Alan Fettis:

Nationality: Northern Irish
Date of Birth: 01/02/1971
Height: 6' 1" (185cm)
Weight: 12st 10lbs (80.81kg)
Clubs: West Brom, Nottm Forest, Blackburn, Leicester, York
Position: Goal Keeper

League appearances: Lge 272 full + 6 subs / 2 goals

In the early 90's Fettis was used as an outfield substitute on occasions. In a match against Oxford Utd on 17 December 1994 he scored the third goal and in the same season at Blackpool when with virtually the last kick of the game; he scored the goal that gave the Tigers an away victory.

In the 95/96 season because of a contractual dispute Fettis signed for Nottingham Forest eventually returning to Hull City on 23 January 2003
