Question of the Week

Is football a business or a sport?

Town Target Boyd

FORMER Carlisle midfielder Mark Boyd is holding talks with the Mariners about a possible move to Blundell Park, while Kidderminster Harriers have also expressed an interest in the 22-year-old.

The Carlisle-born midfielder's ideal move would be a return to his home town club but he has heard nothing from the club since he left in May.

Boyd told the Cumberland news: "I was hoping something might happen to allow me to go back, but I haven’t heard anything from Carlisle United, so I’ve just got to get on with it.

"I’m talking to Grimsby today and I’ll probably train with them with the possibility of a move. The encouraging thing is that they got in touch with me.

"Kidderminster are also keen but we’ll just have to wait and see. I’ve been training on my own in Carlisle for the past few weeks, with plenty of running and swimming, but hopefully I’ll have something sorted out very soon."
