Barnard Scotland Bound?

DARREN Barnard is on trial at Kilmarnock and played in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Falkirk yesterday and according to the manager he stands a good chance of getting a deal.
Barnard told The Scotsman; "I wouldn't be here if I wasn't serious about a move to Scotland and playing at Ibrox or Celtic Park in front of 50,000 certainly appeals."
It appears that his major concern is his position in the Welsh squad. "I am still in the Wales squad and the last two games I played were against Russia in the Euro 2004 play-offs."
"We are in the same group as England and Northern Ireland for the World Cup qualifiers so if I was playing in the SPL it would stand me in good stead."
"Grimsby have dropped into division two of the Football League so that would be a problem."
