Grimsby v Notts County

By: Richard Hubbert
Date: 06/12/2004

AFTER over a week’s break, it’s back to business in the league with the visit of Notts County to Blundell Park, a side that were relegated along with the Mariners from Division Two last season.

  • Terrell Forbes will make a welcome return in the Town defence after being cleared of rape charges in his recent trial. He will replace Rob Jones to partner Justin Whittle at the back

  • Russell Slade will probably stick with the 4-4-2 formation that has seen Town halt their poor run of six games without a win with results against Kidderminster and Southend.

  • Unless Town manage to secure the services of a new striker before the game, then apart from at the back, they will be unchanged - with Cramb continuing to partner Andy Parkinson up front - Parkinson of course, playing against the club he spent a few months on loan with last season.

The bad news for Town fans is that 10 goal striker Glynn Hurst will return to the Magpies line-up after a two game ban. Paul Bolland is suspended - but the experienced Rob Ullathorne could return to the squad.
