Fill The Ground!

BURY Football Club are looking to turn the forthcoming Good Friday into a Great Friday when Grimsby Town are the visitors on March 25.
As part of the ongoing crucial fundraising activities, and to celebrate the club's uninterrupted 120 years at Gigg Lane, the Shakers are aiming to fill all 12,000 seats in the ground for the fixture.
With hardly any other football being played on the day, due to the England v Northern Ireland World Cup qualifying game at Old Trafford 24 hours later, fans from other clubs are being urged to get themselves down for a unique one-off celebration.
The initiative is being co-promoted by Forever Bury, the Bury FC supporters' trust, and supporters, townsfolk, businesses and organisations are being urged to get involved in what is hoped to be a lucrative event.
Admission has been pegged at a price of only £10 for adults and £2 for concessions, for tickets purchased prior to the day of the game, however, normal Matchday prices will apply on the day of the match.
As a further incentive there are two superb prizes for the individual or the business/organisation that sells the most tickets for the match.
Two meals for two at the England v Northern Ireland qualifier at Old Trafford are up for grabs, as well as two England football shirts; personally signed by Manchester United and England star - and keen Shakers' fan - Gary Neville.
"We are urging everyone in the town, even if they only come down to Gigg Lane for one game a season, to get down for this one," said Bury FC commercial manager Peter Young.
"We have 2,000 regular supporters and if each of them can sell a couple of the tickets to family, friends or work colleagues, that would give it a great push, while we're hoping that businesses and organisations in the town can help sell some too.
"Manchester City have promised to promote the event at their next home game when Bolton are the visitors and they are contacting their supporters' groups in a bid to rally some more to the cause.
"We want as many soccer fans as possible, from all clubs, to join us on the day and give the ground a great atmosphere.
