Jonathan Rowan

Decent striker, scored with his first touch on his debut in a 3-2 win over Wolves in the League Cup in 2001. After an impressive pre-season tour in Scandanavia, Rowan was picked up front on the opening day of the 01/02 season.

The lad from Tetney started off very keen and sharp, and along with Phil Jevons fired Town to the top of an embryonic First Division. Rowan started at Anfield in the historic 2-1 away win, however was replaced up front by the club's eventual hero that season, Michael Boulding.

Rowan picked up injury after injury and then never returned to his regular place, making less and less appearances. In 2002 he was rumoured to be interested in following Steve Livingstone to Carlisle Utd, however was convinced to stay. Last season he made just under 10 appearances scoring 2 goals, and finally was released in July.

Rowan joined Kidderminster Harriers on a non contract basis, but never stayed long enough to get involved. He spent part of last season with Kettering Town and more recently he moved to Gainsborough Trinity on a free transfer.
