Egypt Here He Comes!

GRIMSBY Town's Jean Paul Kalala helped his country DR Congo to a 2-2 draw against one of Africa's strongest side South Africa today. The winners of their group Ghana qualified for the World cup in 2006 as group winners, and left both South Africa and DR Congo well behind them.

With both teams being second and third in their group they qualify for the African Nations Cup which will be played from 20 January to 10 February 2006 in Egypt, so Grimsby Town will be losing their prize asset for at least six weeks after Christmas - if selected. The draw for the 2006 African Nations Cup will take place in Cairo on October 20th.

The last African Nations' Cup that took place in Tunisia was shown on the BBC and British Eurosport in its entirety, so this could be more publicity for the Mariners if the DR Congo team do well in the tournament. If Jean Paul is picked The Fishy will keep you up to date with the tournament when it starts in January 2006.
