Hi Danny it seems like only yesterday that you left the Mariners for Leicester where you spent one season. So what was the main reason for leaving Grimsby?
The main reason I left Grimsby was because of the chance to play Premiership football.
But you're at Burnley now. Are you enjoying your time there?
I am enjoying my time at Burnley I am unfortunately injured but the rehabilitation is going okay and I am just looking forward to getting over the injury and getting back into training and hopefully starting to play games again.
Now onto Town. You left the club after the relegation to League 1 to join a promising Leicester side. Was that a hard decision?
It was a hard decision because I was at Grimsby for four years and I really enjoyed my time there, while I was there we did really well and we had some good seasons considering the limited resources we had compared to a lot of other sides in the league.
There was much speculation after you left Town about whether you were offered a new deal. Can you just clear up whether you were or weren't?
I wasn't offered a new deal.
Do you think it's possible you could ever return to Grimsby?
There is always a possibility of that I will never rule anything out in football.
What would you say your greatest moment at Blundell Park was?
The greatest moment was when we beat Liverpool at Anfield in the Cup which was a great night.
Who would you say your best mates were at Town and do you still keep in touch with any of them?
I still keep in touch with Steve Croudson and I speak to Stacy Coldicott every now and then.
Do you still look out for Town's results and what did you think of the Mariners' games against Spurs and Newcastle?
I always do look out for the results, in the games against Spurs and Newcastle the lads were brilliant and hopefully they can stay at the top of the league this season and get promotion which would be fantastic. I really hope they do it.
And finally will you be supporting England at the World Cup?
I'll be watching it we'll see!
We'd also like to take this chance to thank Danny Coyne who took time out from his busy schedule to do this interview for Town fans and Sarah Meakin (media officer at Burnley) who made this all possible.
