New Sponsorship Deal

SOURCES close to the Fishy have revealed that Young’s will be taking up the final year’s option they have on their sponsorship contract with Grimsby Town, which is expected to be officially announced on Monday by the club.

This would be a coup for both sides as Young’s are the 3rd biggest privately owned company in the UK and they are also the biggest employer in Grimsby/Cleethorpes.

Young's have been sponsoring Grimsby since the start of the 2004-2005 season. This year Grimsby's international exposure in the cup games with Newcastle and Spurs, in addition to Sunday's Play-Off final has seen Young's logo splashed across television screens around the planet.

Town are due to have a new home strip next season after two years wearing the same shirt, and it will be great to see the Young's logo still on it. The old strip will get its final outing at Cardiff, with the addition of a special commemorative badge.. >
