Who Are Ya: Hereford

By: Richard Hubbert
Date: 30/07/2006

WITH the new season almost upon us, it's time to cast an eye upon the teams in League Two for 2006-2007. Richard Hubbert turns his attention to Herford.

Key PlayerTim Sills. If Sills can put his experience at Oxford last season behind him and rediscover the sort of form that saw him net 46 goals in just over 100 games for Aldershot, he could provide Hereford with a goalscorer to help them to the top of the table.
StrengthsHereford have been waiting to be back in the football league since 1997, when they were relegated on goal difference. Their side contains players with league experience, which could prove vital in the coming months. Plus, their defence is pretty mean - they conceded just 33 last season, the least in the Conference.
WeaknessesThe Bulls lack a real goalscorer. New signings Sheldon and Sills will be looking to solve this issue. Despite promotion their last year, their top league scorer grabbed just 10 goals.
Prediction5th. At least one club promoted from the Conference always does well. Hereford have that extra bit of experience over Accrington, which is why I believe they could just be a surprise package this season.

Next Team: Lincoln
