DONCASTER midfielder Ricky Ravenhill has joined the Mariners in a two year deal. The 25-year-old had agreed to move to Chester, but the deal fell through, and the Mariners have snapped him up.
Unfortunately Ravenhill, who cost an undisclosed fee, is banned for three games after being sent off against Wrexham whilst on loan at Chester.
Ravenhill began his career at Barnsley as a Youth Team player, but he was released and snapped up by Doncaster in 2002, where he has made over 100 first team appearances.
Ravenhill is the second Doncaster player to join the Mariners in recent weeks. Defender Nick Fenton also joined Grimsby from Belle Vue earlier this month.
