Town Draw Barnet

GRIMSBY will play their second round FA Cup tie at Barnet provided they beat Northampton in the 1st Round replay at Blundell Park. Ironically the two clubs are set to meet just three days later at Underhill in a league match.
Barnet are placed just above the Mariners at the wrong end of League Two, and on Saturday beat Lincolnshire Conference North side Gainsborough
While the draw is not a particularly good one for the Mariners at least they are paired against a club in their own division, and a not particularly good one at that!
Should Grimsby overcome both Northampton and Barnet they will reach Round 3 of the FA Cup where the top sides enter, something they have not managed since they were relgated from the Championship in 2003 (when they entered the cup at that stage).
