Biggest Win for 50 Years

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 03/02/2007

HAVING beaten two records for playing badly this year, and come within a game of equalling the worst losing sequence in the club's history, Alan Buckley's side today recorded the biggest away win for 50 years, and the second most emphatic result away from home in the club's history.

Today's game is also the first time in Grimsby's entire history that they have won a game 6-0 away from home.

The following table shows the occasions when Grimsby have won by five or more goals away from home.
