Hunt Loan Extended

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 19/02/2007

JAMES Hunt has had his loan spell extended for another month by Grimsby after the midfielder impressed during his initial month on loan from Bristol Rovers. The 30-year-old was instrumental in Saturday's win over Mansfield and was many fans' Man of the Match for that game.

Hunt has fallen out of favour at the Memorial Ground after he and Rovers' manager Paul Trollope fell out when Hunt was left out of the side earlier this season.

The Derby-born midfielder, who has also had spells at Oxford, Northampton and Notts County, was the Pirates' club captain last season but was stripped off that role for the current campaign.
