LIKE the Mariners Beat the Bookies has yet to back a winner this season, but like the Mariners we'll keep on trying until we do!

Saturday is a crucial game against bogey side Stockport as it says how Town will bounce back from their defeat at Accrington. Our guess is that Town will play 4-4-2 and Andy Taylor will start, something that probably should have happened at Stanley. From a betting point of view Stockport, who have beaten Grimsby on 5 consecutive occasions, are 13/8 to make it six on the bounce at Blundell Park. Much as we hate to say it 13/8 is better value than the 11/8 on offer for a Town win.

Elsewhere in League Two Town's next opponents Lincoln head to League Two leaders Darlington. Lincoln have not got off to the greatest of starts but have a strong squad and are still handily poised at 4/1 with bet365 to come home from the Reynolds Arena with all three points.

Recommended Bets

  • 1. Stockport to beat Grimsby (13/8, bet365).
  • 2. Lincoln to beat Darlington (4/1, bet365).
