TOWN lost their second pre-season friendly of the summer so far when they went down 2-1 to League One side Oldham Athletic 2-1 at Blundell Park this afternoon. But more importantly they lost both Ryan Bennett and Paul Bolland to injuries during the game.
Former Town midfielder Jean-Paul Kalala gave Oldham the lead in the first few minutes of the game, but then Town pulled a goal back with a Hope header from a Peter Till corner.
However Town's hard work was undone when a late goal from Oldham's Dean Smalley goal sealed the win for the Latics.
