JP is back!

Date: 31/10/2008

MIDFIELDER Jean Paul Kalala has returned to Grimsby on loan from Oldham until 3rd January. The 26-year-old Congolese international played for Grimsby in the only successful season of recent years, when they came within a few seconds of automatic promotion.

Kalala made 18 appearances for Town before following manager Russell Slade to Yeovil in June 2006 where he made 36 appearances for the Glovers before another move to Oldham in summer 2007. Kalala has been unable to break into the first team at Boundary Park and has been placed on the transfer list.

Kalala therefore would be available to sign permanently when his loan expires in the new year, as the transfer window reopens in January.

Grim Rob Says It will be good to have JP back. His signing was a huge boost to the club, and in the second half of that season he was a good player for Town (the early part of the season, with the exception of the Spurs game, was not so good). We desperately need some sort of boost and hopefully this could be it.
