Easter Monday Team News

MIKE Newell has no injury worries for the Easter Monday clash with Notts County which means any change he makes will be tactical. The most likely change is to start with Adam Proudlock and rest either Akpro or Conlon, more likely the former.

Other options available to Newell are Nathan Jarman, Adrian Forbes and Matt Heywood, but it seems likely Newell will field something close to an unchanged side in a game which Grimsby must avoid defeat in at all costs.

For Notts County defender Stephen Hunt is also available again after an ankle injury, but fellow defender Michael Johnson is doubtful (calf). On-loan Scunthorpe striker Jonathan Forte had been suffering from illness, but he managed to score the only goal for County in Saturday's defeat at Rotherham. He is now believed to be fully recovered.

Tickets are available on the day for anyone wanting to watch Town.

Fishy Prediction: Notts County 0 Grimsby 1

Accrington v Chester

Town have the advantage (if that's what it is) of playing after Chester's game has finished. If Chester have won at Accrington, Town will need to match it with a win of their own. If Chester have lost then Grimsby can gain ground with a draw.

Striker Kevin Ellison has shaken off a knock and is expected to return after missing Saturday's game. Midfielders Stephen Vaughan (achilles) and Damien Mozika (hamstring) remain doubtful.

Chester have to continue with emergency on-loan Rochdale 'keeper James Spencer.

Accrington defender Kieron Charnock, who played against Town on Saturday, is again expected to miss out with a bug.

Fishy Prediction: Accrington 3 Chester 1

Bournemouth v Brentford

Bournemouth striker Steve Fletcher is expected to start after being rested for Saturday's defeat at Barnet where he came on as a 65th-minute substitute.

Midfielder Mark Molesley missed that game because of illness, but may return.

Brentford's Kevin O'Connor and striker Damian Spencer are doubts after picking up knocks.

Midfielders Sam Wood and Marcus Bean and strikers Nathan Elder, Charlie MacDonald and Jordan Rhodes all missed Saturday's game at home to Exeter and are not expected to return.

Fishy Prediction: Bournemouth 2 Brentford 2
