Kidderminster v Grimsby Team News

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 09/10/2010

CENTRAL defender Rob Atkinson could make his first appearance of the season following a hernia operation. Atkinson has been on the fringes of the first squad for the last couple of weeks and has had some time in reserve games.

After Thursday's defensive mistakes against Forest Green Neil Woods may be tempted to recall a player who is probably in his first choice side.

Should Atkinson not make it Woods could plump for defender Scott Garner in the back two who was unlucky to be dropped for the match against Forest Green despite the impressive display against Newport.

Otherwise Town have no new injuries, and Lee Peacock will probably start on the bench again.

For Kidderminster defender Ollie Thorne (thigh) and is doubtful, but fellow defenders Lee Vaughan (illness) and winger Chris McPhee (calf) should both be fit.

  • Town Youth beat Hinckley United 3-0 at Blundell Park this afternoon to progress to the next round of the FA Youth Cup.

  • A tribunal has ordered Town to pay Crawley just £10K as a transfer fee for striker Charles Ademeno
