Tamworth Fixture Moved Again!

GRIMSBY'S plans to move the fixture with Tamworth to the Friday night have been scuppered by the football pools companies! The Mariners had agreed to move their game with the Lambs forward a day to avoid a clash with the Euro 2012 qualifier between Wales and England. The England game kicks off at 3pm, the same time as Grimsby's match,
The Conference vetoed the club's application to move the fixture. One compromise would be for the Mariners to move their game to a later kick off or shift it to the Sunday, but this has yet to be agreed.
Friday night football is not popular with some supporters, especially those who live out of town.
