GRIMSBY threw away three points on Tuesday night against Gateshead in the final game under caretaker boss Dave Moore's stewardship. Leading 2-0 from goals by Alan Connell and Rob Eagle. Connell then missed a penalty which would have put Grimsby 3-0 up.
With the match apparently winding down to its inevitable conclusion substitute Richard Offiong then gave the visitors hope with a goal in the 86th minute. The same player then went on to set up an equaliser for Fisher to tap in in the last minute of injury time.
Grimsby's next game is at home to Darlington on Saturday, which will see their new managerial duo of Hurst and Scott unveiled.
