Midfielder Signs

TOWN have signed 29-year-old midfielder Tyrone Thompson on a non-contract basis. Sheffield-born Thompson has most recently played for Mansfield, and prior to that Torquay, Crawley, Halifax and Scarborough.
Thompson is expected to play against Newport County on Saturday as Town aim to stop the rot setting in after two defeats and no goals in their first two games.
Town lost the corresponding fixture last season 2-1.
