Grimsby v Tamworth Team News

Date: 07/12/2012

GRIMSBY'S team news is similar to what is was before the game with Gateshead in midweek, which was called off due to the cold weather. That's not likely to be an issue for Saturday's match with Tamworth at Blundell Park, with the forecast for the weekend well above zero.

Town are blessed with wingers at the moment as Joe Colbeck has returned from injury and came on as a substitute at the weekend, and Saturday's Man of the Match Marcus Marshall is also pushing to retain his starting place.

However the managers have vowed to not stick with a winning team and use their full squad over a busy period, so changes can be expected both in formation and personnel. Town have used both 4-4-2 and 4-3-3 this season, depending on the opposition.

Tamworth have a defensive injury crisis at the moment. Both full backs were injured in the 1-0 defeat to Kidderminster in midweek. Richard Tait (ankle) managed to walk off the pitch but fellow full back Scott Barrow was carried off.

On top of that the Lambs already have injuries to centre-back Tom Marshall and on-loan left-back, Greg Taylor, was recently called back by his parent club Luton.
