Stockport v Grimsby Team News

GRIMSBY head to Stockport desperately needing a win to get the promotion campaign back on track. If Town lose they could drop out the top five as Forest Green are expected to beat already relegated Telford at home.

Town have not lost for two games now, so have something to build on. However neither Derek Niven nor Craig Disley are expected to return for the trip to Cheshire, and several other players are carrying knocks just 48 hours after the previous game. The only thing that can be expected is change. Town may go 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 depending on who is available.

Liam Hearn could make the bench but it's unlikely he will start a game yet as his fitness levels are not deemed to be good enough yet.

Stockport have had a mixed series of results recently, and are currently fourth from bottom on 46 points. They draw very few games at home, where they have won 8 and lost 11 of their 21 games. Their last two results have been impressive however: a 1-1 draw at Macclesfield and a 1-0 win over Newport at home.
