Liam Hearn - What's Changed?

SINCE joining the squad in the 11-12 season, Liam Hearn's first Grimsby goal came 11 games into the season against Wrexham. He formed a strong striking partnership with Anthony Elding, this proved very successful and Hearn was our leading goalscorer for that season, and one of the league's highest as well (despite Town only finishing in 11th place, on 70 points.
I had great hopes for the 'Dynamic Goalpoacher' in the 12-13 season, so I was devastated to find that during pre-season Hearn picked up a calf and Achilles problem on his right leg, thus missing Grimsby's following pre-season games against Hull City, Scunthorpe United and Lincoln City. Hearn appeared to be on the road to recovery, on 14 August 2012 in the 1-2 defeat against Stockport County he came on as a 58th minute substitute. On 17 August, however, he injured his left leg in training, tests revealed an Achilles tendon rupture and he would be out for several months.
So after missing pretty much the entirety of that season, Hearn began the 2013-14 season ready and fit and played in the clubs opening 1-1 draw with Aldershot Town. Three days later he scored the first goal in our 2-1 win against Gateshead. He has again scored against Alfreton in our 3-1 win against them.
Town director John Fenty has insisted that the apparent departure of joint boss Rob Scott is not performance-related.
Rumours have been occurring, such as (my favourite) is that there was a Hearn-Scott bust up - seems very unlikely and rather supererogatory!
Town has issued a statement, it reads: "Whilst the club understands the fans' frustration in not knowing more at this stage, we ask them to be patient as there are various reasons the club are unable to make further comment at this point.
So it is only speculation but this has most likely had a twist on players morale and [hopefully not] their performance. (Although a 0-0 draw with Luton may have made for an uninteresting match it was not one to shun as worthless and bad, as for many seasons Luton has been battling for promotion).
