Bad Light Stopped Play

GRIMSBY'S game at Forest Green was abandoned last night after less than half an hour because of floodlight failure. The score at the time was 1-1 with Lennell John-Lewis on target for the Mariners before the home side equalised.
Forest Green are ironically owned by Ecotricity owner Dale Vince, a company who generate electricity from renewable sources.
Fans who were at last night's match can get a refund, or they can reuse their match ticket to get into the rearranged match, a date for which has not yet been set. If you paid by cash though you can only get a refund by going back to the stadium. Details here.
Grimsby have run into similar problems with floodlights at Gateshead and Macclesfield in recent months.
Town face a crowded second half of the season, with two matches still to rearrange, and a possible two-legged semi final and final in the FA Trophy if the Mariners can overcome Tamworth (who beat Chorley on penalties last night) in the quarters.
