Keeper Killip Signs

GRIMSBY Town have confirmed the signing of goalkeeper Ben Killip. The 21-year-old goalkeeper, formerly of Chelsea and Norwich City, has signed for the club on a one-year deal following a successful trial this summer.

Killip has featured for Town in games against Cleethorpes Town, Stamford AFC and Scunthorpe United this summer.

The youngster faced competition from Sam Ramsbottom, Oliver Pain and Jacob Marsden whilst on trial over the last three weeks, in a battle to earn a place in the Town squad and provide competition for James McKeown.

Killip had a trial at Luton Town earlier this year, with a view to joining their first team, but that move did not materialise.

He will wear the number 30 shirt this season.
