WINGER Siriki Dembele looks set to leave Blundell Park after putting in a transfer request. The Mariners had an option to keep Dembele for a further year, which they chose to exercise. Town should be due to receive a fee for Dembele as he is still under contract with the Mariners.
Dembele made 36 appearances for Town, but struggled in the latter half of the season with a back injury. The winger was very impressive in the autumn and attracted the attention of some top sides during that time.
Meanwhile, Town have signed 21-year-old striker Louis Robles, who has played in England (Wigan and Macclesfield) and Spain. The much-travelled forward has also played in the USA, and once played for Liverpool under 9's.
In other news youth team winger Max Wright has signed a new two-year contract, and another former youth player, midfielder Harry Clifton has also signed a deal which will keep him at Blundell Park for three more years. Clifton broke into the first team at the end of last season, but Wright has yet to play for the Mariners.
