Town Sign Striker on Loan

Date: 22/11/2021
GRIMSBY have signed Bristol City striker Sam Bell on loan until the New Year. The 19-year-old has made seven appearances since signing as a professional at Ashton Gate. He has never scored a goal.
The Bristo-born forward is likely to come straight into the matchday squad as John-Lewis is still injured. He is eligible for Tuesday night's game at home to Solihull and looks a certainty to at least make the bench.
Bell's dad Micky played over 600 professional games including nearly 300 with Bristol City.
Grimsby have been looking for a striker all year and still have the number 9 jersey unassigned.
