Dave Beasant When Rhys Wilmot was suspended for two games in the 92/93 season, a mass pitch invasion took place in celebration. After the hysteria had died down Alan Buckley brought in Beasant on loan from Chelsea. Beasant was famed for 3 things

1) First ever penalty save from John Aldridge in the FA Cup Final

2) At the time of speaking dropping huge clangers

3) Having the worst curly/permed mullet around - made worse by the fact that it was 8 years since Wham had split.

On a serious note Beasant inspired Town to go on a huge run including taking the scalp of record attempting Newcastle on his debut. The defence had more confidence and it spread through the team. Beasant was at Nottingham Forest last season, but was released in the summer.
