Question of the Week

Where will Grimsby finish?

The Hard Work Starts Now

IT LOOKS like the clouds of gloom that have gathered over our season have been lifted slightly after a gutsy performance over Sheffield Wednesday. Despite being under the cosh for large portions of the match, Town hung on valiantly to claim a point.

That point will prove to be very important as the regulation battle hots up.

However, at the risk of sounding pessimistic, one point means nothing. Add this to the brave fight that Stockport put up against a Watford side that have faltered under Vialli, and the terrible start that the world is in now. The wins have got to start coming for The Mariners. Our next game on November 17th comes against Millwall. They are a side that will pose us a great many problems.

On the plus side, Phil Jevons has shown us flashes of what he is capable of. I refer to one of my previous articles when I say that we need somebody to provide a regular supply line. Stace has struggled, and Pouton has looked curiously out of his depth this season. Town also need a top-class striker. Someone in the Robins mould would be ideal.

If the hard work is to continue, the jewel in Town's crown, Danny Coyne, must stay.

Don't get me wrong, I am extremely proud of our performance against the Owls. But we must now turn our attention to the next battle in the war against relegation.
