Pair Set to Miss Burnley Clash

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 21/11/2001

STUART CAMPBELL and Tony Gallimore are both set to miss Friday's encounter with Burnley through injury, although right back Alan Neilson could be available for the TV game. Campbell is suffering from a bug, and Gallimore with sore ribs, ruling the pair out of the clash with the division's leaders.

Town face three games in eight days with the cup game against Arsenal falling either side of league fixtures at Turf Moor and then Man City at home next weekend, making it a testing time for Lawrence's troops after a relatively light period.

Neilson, who was acquired on a free transfer from Fulham as a replacement for John McDermott in the troublesome right back position, is back in contention having returned to the training field after hobbling out of the TV match with Birmingham nearly a month ago with a torn calf muscle.

Lawrence is hoping the 29-year-old defender can take part in the game, but will not risk him unless Neilson is fully recovered from his injury. "Alan won't play unless he is 100 per cent right." said the Town manager. "I'd say his chances right now are about 50-50. I don't see any point in taking any risks with him for one game."
