Good Result - Bad News

Grimsby Town won a well deserved three points tonight at Blundell Park with a 3-1 defeat of Stockport County. Unfortunately the game was marred by a bad tackle by Carlton-Palmer that resulted in Martin Pringle being sent to hospital by ambulance with a suspected broken leg.
In addition to that bad news, Andy Todd, his fellow loanee was also taken off limping with what could be a hamstring injury. The two loan players from Charlton have been an inspiration for Town since their arrival and at a time that the Mariners needed Lady Luck to be onside, this news comes as a blow.
This news blighted the very good result that Town got from this game and placing them in a position of being able to move out of the danger zone within one game.
A report on the game will follow shortly.
