Norwegian Club Lillestrøm Target Robinson!

AGENT Stig Lillejord has brought Paul Robinson to the attention of Norwegian club Lillestrøm. The Norwegian club have sold Clayton Zane to Anderlecht and they now need a new striker, and Lillejord recommended the Wimbledon striker who is currently on loan with Grimsby Town.
The former Newcastle player joined Dons when Carl Cort travelled the other way in 2000. Last summer he was also a target by Odd Grenland, but then the loan move collapsed and former Wimbledon assistant Lars Tjærnås has recommended the striker who he was impressed with when he was in England.
"He came to Wimbledon after Egil Olsen and I left the club, but I knew him from his time at Newcastle." said Tjærnås.
"I thought he was a very good striker. He scored against us. He is a typical English target man, but he was also a good breakthrough striker who was good at dribbling."
"We will have to make the right choice of striker to get ready before the season kick off and if the right man comes available we will make a quick move." Lillestrøm supremo Bjarne Sognnæs told Romerikes Blad.
It has been suggested that Lillestrøm want two strikers. One on a permanent deal and, one on loan.
"We tried earlier to purchase Heidar Helguson (Watford), Andre Schei Lindbæk (Molde) and Rikhardur Dadason (Stoke), and they are still in the picture," continued Bjarne who does not want to name any more players on the short list as he fears that other clubs could step in.

Lillestrøm boss, Arne Erlandsen, wants a strong striker, similar to what Zane was.
"With the way we play we need a striker who is good in the air. We base much of our play on crosses from the sides. Therefore he has got to be good in front of the goal," said Erlandsen.
