AT THE Winter Gardens tonight (Monday) Grimsby Town Football Club held its annual awards night which, this year, was broadcast on Radio Humberside. Tim Harvey Grimsby’s Press Officer said he was delighted with the turnout, which reflected the renewed interest in the club around the district.

Most of the players interviewed expressed their appreciation of the support and encouragement they had received from Paul Groves, Graham Rodger and Paul Wilkinson which had built the confidence of the players.

All were concerned by the ITV Digital situation and some, who were out of contract during the Summer, were concerned about their own situations but said that Paul Groves would be talking to them shortly and sorting "A few things out."
