THERE have been a number of suggestions made to solve the problems the Mariners are currently facing. One suggestion was that Mr Buckley should be brought back. On that subject we are giving Gutted Grimbarian the last word!

10 reasons not to bring Buckley back…

  • Mendonca, Futcher, Gilbert, Childs, Cockerill, Rees and Woods have packed in football.

  • Lester, Croft and Handyside are not available/affordable.

  • Adam Buckley is not a Division One player.

  • Neither is Kingsley Black.

  • Buckley's record at Lincoln.

  • We can't afford West Brom reserves anymore.

  • Buckley rated both Mike Jeffrey and Paul Raven.

  • He let Nicky Southall go for nothing, Southall is now in the Premiership.

  • He would be a PR disaster and drive away more fans.

  • The likes of Ford, Mansaram, and Ward would not get a chance, unless injuries forced us to play them. Buckley is anti-young players, with the exceptions of points 2 and 5.
