Santos Signs Up!

GRIMSBY Town announced that after a short trial former Tranmere and Sheffield Utd midfielder Georges Santos has signed a 4 week contract with the Mariners. The deal needs to be rubber stamped by the FA before noon tomorrow in order for the Frenchman to join the squad for the Brighton game.

Santos had joined the Mariners in early September on trial after being released from Bramall Lane in the summer, and had shown enough in training to secure a short-term contact.

"The situation is at the moment I am just waiting, fingers crossed, and hopefully we can sort something out before the Brighton game. We didn't talk about contracts. Obviously Grimsby have no money and I just want to play, and we will see," the Frenchman told Radio Humberside earlier in the day.
