"No disrespect to the likes of Grimsby..."

sunday 26th january

John Curtis (Blackburn)

From Icons.

The big games are what it is all about as a player. Last season when we were playing at places like Stockport and Grimsby the motivation was that you have to get results there so that you can play in the big games the following season. I want to play in these big games and hopefully I will get the chance on Saturday."

Somebody should maybe remind him of what happened when Town last played Liverpool. Big game, been there done that.

Alf Inge HÃ¥land

"I rather play in front of 63,000 at Celtic Park than infront of 5,000 at Blundell Park," injured Manchester City skipper Alf Inge HÃ¥land said on the Phoenix League.

The Fishy Reviewed!

From www.extraordinaryworld.com.

The Fishy: rating 9

Some excellent match reports and news stories make this a very useful port of call for any Mariners fans on the www. Apart from all the usual pages, the site includes: Codheads (fan profiles), Fred and Bert (two old men running a fans poll?!), a Predict-O-Meter, some funny captions and a Scout section where foreign Grimsby fans can write in with players who they think should be playing for the Mariners. Add the obligatory messageboard, chatroom and some good features, and you'll find that The Fishy is packed full of fishy goodness.

United Kingdom Attractions

From www.plus44.com

Grimsby is the acknowledged centre for food production in the U.K., is the local commercial centre for the major port of Immingham and the chemical industry and is a major port for the import and export of motor vehicles to and from continental Europe.

The town offers a large vibrant shopping centre, the award winning National Fishing Industry Museum, ready access to the Lincolnshire Wolds, the Lincolnshire coastal marshes, the Humber Bridge, and is adjacent to the resort of Cleethorpes with its tourist attractions and holiday facilities.
